Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 12, 2026
Still House Goods (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit stillhousegoods.com, how it’s used, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Our website address is https://stillhousegoods.com. If you have questions about this policy or your data, reach us at hello@stillhousegoods.com.
Affiliate links and third-party cookies
Some links on Still House Goods are affiliate links. When you click one, the retailer or an affiliate network (such as Mavely/Later, Impact or CJ Affiliate) may place a cookie in your browser to track whether a purchase results from your visit, so that any commission is credited correctly. These cookies are set by those third parties, not by us, and are governed by their own privacy policies — we do not control, and are not responsible for, how they collect or use your data. If you’d prefer not to allow these cookies, you can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as expected.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string, to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), because visitors can download and extract that location data from images on the site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies, so you don’t have to re-enter them next time. These last one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login information and display choices. Login cookies last two days and screen-option cookies last a year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends your login for two weeks; logging out removes the login cookies.
Editing or publishing an article saves an additional cookie that contains no personal data — only the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that other site. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content — including tracking you if you have an account and are logged in there.
Analytics
We do not currently use analytics tools that collect personal data. If we add them in the future to understand how visitors use the site (for example, which reviews are read most), we will update this policy to describe what they collect.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them in a moderation queue. For registered users, we store the personal information provided in their user profile; users can see, edit, or delete their information at any time (except the username), and administrators can also see and edit it.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, and you can request that we erase it. This excludes any data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
